is it feasible to build it's fan facing upward?please help me,i need this for my feasibility study..thanks
It's basically a lot of desiccant and a fan to blast air from the room over the desiccant and back to the room.
You can have the fan facing any way you want, as long as it circulates air over the desiccant and back to the room.
Commemorate that you have to replace the desiccant frequently. For that reason, they are not very popular.

My dehumidifier gets very hot on the back. Is this normal?

I have a Swirl dehumidifier in my basement (not a part of the recall) and it runs continuously -- it is set for continuous and has a hose to get rid of the water directly down the exhaust. The back (where the condenser is) blows hot air and gets quite hot to the touch. Is this normal or a fire concern?
Secure, it's normal. A dehumidifier works alot like an airconditioner. Since warm air holds more moisture than uncaring air, it cools the air to remove the moisture. The heat energy that has been removed from the air has to be exhausted (as well as the heat it takes to run the motor itself).

I need an alternative to air conditioning in a side room with no windows. Would a dehumidifier and fan help?

I conclude in a part of the country with high heat and humidity. There is no central air ventilation into the room and no windows, though there is a door active outside. I need to make the room livable for a teen. I'm wondering if a dehumidifier (I have never used one) and a fan would be the next trounce thing to A/C?
a dehumidifier would definately mitigate, the purpose of this equipment is to reduce the amount of water in the air, for this to work you must keep your doors and windows closed to keep more moisture(humidity) from entering the blank, this works on the same bacic principal of air condioners, a fam alone will only circulate the heat and humidity in essance creating the capacity of a convection oven. On the otherhand combining the two will help circulate the air and reduce the humidity keeping you unconcerned. Additional moisture, like fishtanks, sheamy showers, plants in water, indoor desk or eatables top fountains also allow additional moisture into the air creating more humidity, these must be eliminated or controlled
