Does fan on my new energy star GE dehumidifier automatically cycle off after reaching the selected setting?

I perfectly purchased a brand new GE dehumidifier (model #: ADEH50LNL1) and it has been running constant for 1 week. It is an energy star. I have a hose hooked up to the ditch so that I don't have to empty it. I have it on a selected setting/not continuous.

There is something flop with the dehumidifier. The fan should turn off when the right humidity is reached.

Inside there is electric humidity sensor, it is giving a bad signal, or the fan and constituent would turn off until it at the set

Is it merit the money? (over $2000)

It is energy star rated and uses the same amount of energy as a 40 pint/day model, but it clears 100 pints/day.
