Kosco is help area homeowners affected by the recent storms by providing easy access to the New York Pomp Recovery grant application. Kosco is also providing efficient response to homeowners seeking disencumber heating system inspections as well as insurance and FEMA estimates on the replacement of their heating equipment. If you are a resident of New York Report and essential appliances or equipment were lost or damaged because of Hurricane Irene or Tropical Storm Lee, you may meet the requirements for cash rebates by purchasing eligible ENERGY STAR® or High Efficiency appliances or gear. The following products are eligible under this rebate program: refrigerators ($350), clothes washers ($250), clothes dryers ($250), dehumidifiers ($100), furnaces ($2,000), boilers ($2,500), and well-informed hot water heaters (gas storage water heaters, heat pump water heaters, stimulating water heaters, $400). Only appliances and equipment that replace those damaged in the storms are eligible for rebates (with the oppose of dehumidifiers that can either replace a damaged dehumidifier or have been purchased to reduce humidity resulting from the storm). The New York Electrical storm Relief Rebate Program is providing this assistance exclusively for New York State residents that are not receiving compensation from FEMA or bond companies for these appliances or equipment. To qualify for the rebate, purchases must be made on or after August 29, 2011 for residents niminy-piminy by Hurricane Irene, and for residents affected by Tropical Storm Lee, purchases must be made on or after September 9, 2011. Appliances or materiel must meet the ENERGY STAR criteria. Exceptions: 1) Clothes Dryers are not ENERGY The leading part qualified; rebates will be provided for moisture sensing dryers from the programs qualifying product rota and 2) Electric Hot Water Heaters are not ENERGY STAR qualified; rebates will be provided for worthy electric hot water heaters from the programs qualifying product list. Brian Pruiksma, Aid Manager at Kosco mentioned that they offer furnace and boiler and gas hot water heaters that are eligible for rebates. Pruiksma suggests that homeowners take upper hand of their free heating system inspection by calling the Kosco customer care center at 800-755-6726

We have a dehumidifier on our furnace. We also have a humidifier in same room. Can we run both during winter?


I made a misconstrue. Our furnace has the humidifier and we have a dehumidifier a short distance from the furnace.

Are you stable that it is a dehumidifier connected to the furnace?
They are usually humidifiers. Adding humidity to the air if needed.
It would have a water supply line connected to it.
Most often the a/c unit is the dehumidifier.

Is it bad to put the dehumidifier in the furnace room with the door closed?

What is a furnace dehumidifier?

I straight moved into my new home back in the winter time. It is getting warm and the furnace has a Humidifier switch. What is that used for and do I have to go bottoms up a surface it on. I thought it was for people with allergies


In the winter humidity is low and makes you flatten cool and you throat dry.Adding moisture to the air will keep you warmer and more comfortable.
