WC Wood appliance gets new life Guelph Mercury
Systemair Inc. has purchased the assets of W.C. Wood’s commercial/industrial dehumidifier threshold and has already begun manufacturing the products in a New Brunswick factory.
The Swedish company has operations in 38 countries, including facilities in Bouctouche, N.B.
Systemair president of Canadian operations, Roland Mazerolle, confirmed the procure this week. He said the popular dehumidifier, formerly manufactured at the now defunct W.C. For now, the W.C. Wood make name will remain on dehumidifiers sold in Europe, he added, but those sold in the U.S. will carry the Fantech name.
John Feenstra worked for W.C. Wood for 43 years, especially in the dehumidifier department. In December, Systemair invited Feenstra and a second former employee of W.C. Wood to assist with the set-up of the dehumidifier building line in Bouctouche.
