How to replace my 4 prong dryer cord?

We moved into an older for nothing that has three prongs on the outlet for our dryer and our current cord has 4 prongs. Do we replace the cord to a 3 prong or do we need to update the outlet? We're not looking to squander tons of money to get our dryer

I moved a dryer today and it currently has a 3 prong dryer cord, however the apartment has a row outlet. Can I just buy a range cord and change them out.
Quite not. The range cord recepticle is larger than dryer cord's. Also the dryer cord is cheaper.

Issue: If I’m wiring an charged dryer with a 3-wire power cord with flanged spade connectors, do I have to do anything to the connectors (like subservient them or something) when I’m screwing them in? Or do I fair reject the pronged part pointing out, toward me?
