According to their son, the fire started in the laundry room when the dryer caught on fire and quickly spread to the rest of the parliament. According to statements by members of the blood, and preliminary reports by firemen at the scene, the fire did begin in the dryer and burned through the basement floor to the upper floors of the residence. Jamison said four departments fought the fire and saved what they could of the home, but the utility room downstairs was a achieve loss. The firemen who responded to the call said that a lot of smoke was billowing out of the basement when they arrived.
