Need a crash course in Dryer Vent cleaning?
Jan 16, 2009 by Owl | Posted in Cleaning & Laundry
So I applied to this North Peerless Services. They claim to train you in Dryer vent cleaning and make it sound like they'll get you work.. you must buy the equipment tho which is $300 dollars.
I'm getting conflicting reports researching
I never heard of them.
When I unsoiled my dryer vent (every 5 or 6 years) I remove it and take it in the driveway and hose it out. I didn't know people would come to the house and do it. Privately, I wouldn't bring someone in to do what I can

I can fix you up.
First you'll distress a poofy round brush on a long handle. They can be found at home depot, Lowe's, etc. and are called "dryer vent brushes"
Secondly, you will distress the ability to shove it in the vent and brush

Anyone heard of NorthStar Services?

There is this new location advertising in our area called NorthStar wanting dryer vent cleaning technicians. They are BBB accreddited in Michigan, but I can find no other reccomendations. There is a blog about them and it looks like it only has a few
Oh yeah. Deferment away. They want you to buy their equipment which is a plastic bucket, a cable, a brush, burned DVD, and some paperwork. Then they will "advertise" for you, most people I've talked to never got any leads. Then on top of that
