GE Spacesaver Washer/Dryer is not draining?

My apartment has a GE Spacesaver Washer and Dryer combo that isn't draining. Anybody have any suggestions about what it could be, or suggestion for the clumsiest person in the world and the task he's about to undertake?

I am guessing that you own this washer & dryer ?

If you don't, I would indicate that you and/or other tennants should go to your landlord & tell him to have it repaired since it is his responsibility.

If it is yours you can try the " clogged hose " take in the guy above me said or you should listen & try to hear if the pump sounds like it is working.

If the pump sounds " cool " ( no noise ) it may be a " faulty program switch " which is a more expensive nick or if the pump sounds like it " is working " but really is not working ....that is a much cheaper into working order to replace a pump.

IF the landlord is not responsible for these machines & IF the " clogged hose " gammon doesn't work----Maybe you can ask your landlord if he knows a repairman or your apt. has a handyman ( or Administrator as they call it in NY ) and maybe you can slip him a few bucks to look at it ?

I have a ge washer dryer combo... prototype wsm2700rdw and need a new motor. I was told I need either motor wh20x88 or 3204449. Both are no longer made. Are there any other motors i can use?

were you told this by ge? or a parts providing house? or a dealer who sells new appliances? unfortunately, we live in the days of planned obsolescence, and some manufacturers an end making parts when the machines that use them get over a certain age. if you got the 'word' from ge or the appliance parts prostitution, check with an electric motor rebuilding shop. they might have a suitable replacement or can rebuild yours. just one more detail to consider though, if you aren't doing the repair, by the time you are done it could be close to the cost of a new machine. don't cease to remember, the rest of the parts are just as old, and getting toward the end of their lives, too. good luck, hope this helps.

i neutral got the pair brand new, and the dryer works fine. The washer however fills with water and then after about 10 minutes empties everything out without ever spinning and then pauses the series. does anyone know whats going on or how i can fix it?

If the pair off are brand new< I would recommend that you do nothing to them... Call the company that you purchased them from, and have them send a service tech out to look at it... If the units are trade mark new, they are still under a 100% warranty...
