Why do liberals think that if we make 'renewable energy' cars, it will remove the need for petroleum?
May 26, 2010 by Adam | Posted in Politics
Petroleum is in use accustomed to to make a countless number of products, gasoline is just one.
You need petroleum to make all these things:
ammonia
anesthetics
antifreeze
antihistamines
antiseptics
Nobody has said it will eradicate the need for petroleum - only that it will REDUCE the need.

Because they don't interpret Chemistry, Physics or Engineering, they only understand good intentions.
Yo it's Me | May 26, 2010
What's your provenience for their belief it will 'remove' the need? Do you understand the difference between 'reduce' and 'remove.'
Rationality | May 26, 2010
That'a because the humanistic left just ain't right.

Because they did not take Chemistry in Pongy chief school are College, and they are not that bright, smart that is.
Reducing it will not help but stop polluting the air with Chemical leavings from Plants, and Land fills and Clear cutting Forrest, polluting

Not remove, fitting reduce dramatically.
Better to do something good and make a small positive difference than do nothing and make no conflict at all.
Lots of small changes CAN help like changing your energy supplier to help

Liberals never said that, you said that.
Brett | May 26, 2010
isn't it mind-boggling that more petroleum is used on cars than in that entire list combined?
no, we realize that petroleum isn't just occupied in cars, but right now it's only indispensable as an energy source for transportation, which is unfortunately
Doublethink | May 26, 2010
Nobody has said it will displace the need for petroleum - only that it will REDUCE the need.
Sageandscholar | May 26, 2010
Liberals sit on their brains.
regerugged | May 26, 2010
I take it you are a cautious then.
What would you rather everyone did? Stick their heads in the sand and keep on pretending that alternative energy doesn't need to be found? Ignore the enigma at hand? Keep the status quo?
Donna | May 26, 2010
Every big metamorphose has to start somewhere, we have to make the first step in a positive direction. And yes most people are aware that petroleum is used in an everlasting list of products.

Do you care that the Future is F**ked?
Sep 25, 2011 by Dumb neocons | Posted in Politics
The the public we live in today is due to the Discovery of fossil fuels and the outstanding variety of uses it has.
Here is a very, very small listing
ammonia
anesthetics
antifreeze
antihistamines
antiseptics
Not reliable why we need the list, but yes, of course I'm concerned about the future. By the way, the vast majority of the things on your list don't have to be made using fossil fuels. The directory would have made more sense (and been a lot shorter)
