Last November, the Canadian Commission on Construction and Fire Codes (a group that is part of the National Research Council) published its latest update to the National Replica Construction Code, a document that brings together the National Fire Code of Canada, the National Plumbing Traditions of Canada and the National Building Code. The new national model construction code contains closely 800 changes designed to bring the code up to speed with technological advances and health and safe keeping concerns.

The changes cover a massive range of applications, from changes to structural design so that buildings can resist earthquakes to ventilation, heating and air-conditioning changes that specify acceptable levels of toxins such as ozone and carbon monoxide.

I found this online. It is a common dryer vent host that ends in a box that you are supposed to fill with cold water. They say you don't have to vent the tube out. Has anyone tried this? Do they work?

Hi ,I saw this genus of venting in a magazine the other day.You mount box (plastic) on wall or other,and fill with water,then add hose to it. The water absorbs the gases from the dryer.I about it is good idea if you have no other outlet of gases.
