google maytag. but i invent i remember they got taken over some years back?? unsure, removing fluff from inside and around thermostat, motor, enclosure and vents, is a good start. run voltmeter over thermostat.if you can get it undone you may find an interchangeable

Should I repair my Maytag 1994 stacking washer/dryer or buy a new one?

My Maytag 1994 stacking washer/dryer incendiary stopped working and smelled like it the motor was burning up. It makes a whining noise and won't move. I presuppose repairing it might cost $500 or more. Is it worth it?
I believe it depends.
My husband and I have repaired our Kenmore washer more than once on our own.
There are tons of helpful sites online to pinch you figure out the problem.

How to access the inside of my Maytag dryer for repairs?

It is a 30 year old paragon LDG410. It is making a loud rumbling/thumping sound and takes longer to dry that it used to. The back doesn't take off but the top and front are separate pieces from the chassis. I can't figure out how to open it up.
There might be 2 screws at the bottom of the front, or you might have to take the the part where the buttons and timer off and there may be screws there. The rumbling and thumping is coming from a bad billow, and its probably just filled with lint and
