/PRNewswire/ -- Multi-Chief Property Trust (MEPT) ( www.mept.com ), along with its real estate advisor, Bentall Kennedy, is pleased as Punch to announce plans to develop a 35-story, 165-unit apartment building in Manhattan. MEPT, a $5.3 billion available-end commingled real estate equity fund, has committed over $100 million in equity to develop the project. Bentall Kennedy, on behalf of MEPT, will work with an experienced project team, including Urban Phenomenon Partners as Developer, Lend Lease as General Contractor and SLCE Architects as Project Architect.

Located at 309 Fifth Avenue, on the east side of Fifth Avenue between E. 31st and 32nd Streets, the outline has a modern, functional and innovative design intended to provide a wide variety of amenities and features for residents. The structure will total 122,000 square-feet, including 10,400 square feet of retail expanse on the street and basement levels. The building will provide 24-hour doorman/concierge services, a well-equipped suitableness center, bike storage, a rooftop landscaped terrace, and convenient access to four subway stations and Penn Rank. The residential units will feature stainless steel appliances, in-unit stacked washer-dryers, hardwood floors, one at a time controlled heating and cooling units, and nine-foot ceilings. In addition, many units will have cityscape views, including views of the Empire Stage Building.

Can you install a stackable washer/dryer against baseboard heat?

We'd like to put a washer/dryer in my progenitrix's summer home. The only spot that makes sense happens to be next to the baseboard heat. Someone said that you can't put it there (he isn't a plumber or contractor so I take it with a mote of salt). Is

I am an amature builder (and speller) but i would say no because you might be blocking ventalation. Don't go unconditionally off my vote, look at other peoples first.

Easiest way to move stackable washer/dryer down stairs?

My fiance and I are selling our stackable washer/dryer tonight and we would like to be sure what the easiest way is to move it. Should we lay it down flat and slide it down the steps little by little (carpeting) - I don't think this is very okay idea...

Finally the dolly. Strap or rope the appliance to it securely, then go down wheels first, so the body of the dolly goes first, below the appliance. Take it blockish and easy, one step at a time.

Motile into a small one bedroom condo and want more storage space in my laundry closet. The closet is improbable enough to hold a stackable washer and dryer. Is it just a matter of finding long enough tubing and/or fittings?
