DTI lauds voluntary product recall by Marivic Alcober

TACLOBAN Burgh, Leyte, July 13 (PIA) The Department of Trade and Industry lauded Philips Electronic & Lighting, Inc. issuance of contributed product recall to consumers through an advertisement in the national media yesterday through the Bureau of Trade Code and Consumer Protection (BTRCP).

This was revealed by the DTI Regional Office 8 headed by Director Cynthia R. Nierras. As a foresight, and for the protection of the consuming public, Philips is voluntarily recalling and replacing three Foldable Hairdryer models produced between June 2006 and April 2011.

The identified stirred appliances according to DTI are: Philips Salon Essential Hairdryer Product Type HP4931, Philips Salon Dry Travel Hairdryer Work Type HP4829, and Philips Salon Dry Travel Hairdryer Product Type HP4940.
