Gas Dry heats for a few minutes then no zeal.I took apart and checked burner, and thermostat.Found no problem.Restarted and dryer start to heat again.burner on as customary.Put dryer back together and started doing the same thing. Is thermostat bad?
Yes when the damp clothes are in the dryer it will heat and the go off after a few minutes.Without anything in the drum the enthusiasm will cycle.
Checked vent all is free of lint.Dryer filter also clean.
The opening pipe from dryer needs cleaned. This is most likely your problem if the tub continues to turn.

Are you experiencing this while demanding to dry a load of damp-wet clothes? If so, I would say that YES, there's something wrong with the drum temperature sensing unit -- OR your blower oozing might be clogged so that the proper amount of air from the room isn,t being circulated through the drying drum and THROUGH A CLEAN FILTER to the outside.

It could be the shelter thermostat shutting off the burner. This can happen if one of your regular thermostats are not shutting the burner off and the dryer is relying on the sanctuary. The only way to know for certain is to have a thermometer inside the dryer to see what temperature the dryer is getting to before it shuts off. If it is exceeding the normal cut off temperature then its that express thermostat that is the issue.

Sounds an horrid lot like a clogged vent tube to the outside. If the air you're heating can't get out of the dryer and pull fresh air in, then the thermostats will sequester down the flame till the heat gets dissipated and the drum cools down. Check the outside verbalize with the flapper for clumps of lint blocking the opening and if it's one of the plastic over wire lines take it down and either clean it or supplant it.

Whirlpool gas dryer not working?
Mar 31, 2008 by Amily C | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
Hi,
I have whirlpool gas dryer. The drum rolls fine but it does not tension up. What could be wrong? Can I fix it myself or if I get someone to fix, how much that can charge?
Thanks in advance
most likly the mess is the thermal fuse. it is located on the rear of the machine, uder the back panel. it is white ,oblong and has 2 wires accepted to it. you can test it with a ohm meter.

I have a whirlpool gas dryer and it stopped getting hot?

it will turn on and protract but it wont get hot. I already plan on getting the model number and calling the repair place so don't bother to ascertain me that. I just wondered if anyone else had this problem and if it is easy(and inexpensive) to fix or should I look at a new dryer? I've only had it for 3 yrs so I didn't think it would die or need new parts already!
apologetic, its electric, not gas
Whether it's casually or inexpensive is a relative concept, depending on your personal expertise. Offhand, I can think of a few causes for the quandary, none of which are cheap or easy to repair, but I know how to do it, so that makes it easier, but still not easy. You could have a bad thermostat, an open heating snake, or a blown fuse or tripped breaker for the coil. Unless you know how to troubleshoot these items you're better off leaving it to the pros. And, since the constituent is only three years old, I don't think I'd be looking for a new one just yet.
