Is the HVAC quote reasonable?
May 09, 2008 by Timothy B | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I upstanding received a quote for a new A/C and gas furnace, all parts and labor:
INSTALL NEW GOODMAN 2.5 TON 13 Prophet / 95% AFUE SPLIT GAS SYSTEM TO REPLACE OLD
BRYANT SYSTEM. THIS PROPOSAL INCLUDES ALL NECESSARY DUCT WORK, PIPING,
Those prices profitable good as long as YOU realize that you are dealing with the bottom of the quality barrel.
Both these are "Builders Grade" cheapo units at these prices. You don't dearth to count on years of trouble free use!

Its a sturdy situation unless you "know" people who are HVAC certified.
I called this Gentleman up at Barnett Cheek and he hooked me up with a new air conditioner 2 ton 500 $, new coil 160 $, new furnace 400 $. All Garrison products.

If you have a 2-tier house, you may want to consider paying a little more for a dual zone system. You'll have 2 thermostats (One on each floor) and an electronic damper mastery.

thats a tolerably good deal. lucky its not higher. Goodman used to be the laughing livestock of a/c units, but they're newer units have produced a long way and they are nothing to sneeze at...Not the best...but don't be fooled they are pretty descent.
