If it is a humidifier, you will most meet not be seeing "steam" come out, it is just vaporizing the water and shooting the smog into the air. Please make sure you have a clean filter in the humidifier, as they have a tendency to get moldy.

I distress help asap. My daughter has Croup and they've lost the manual to my humidifier. I've never used it before (just taking it out of the box), so it's manufacturer new. How does it say to clean it before first use??

I have owned a Vicks humidifier that is no want sold for several years and have no problems with it. When my daughter was born there was no proposition beyond the shadow of a doubt about what ilk I would buy for her abide.
