is my humidifier working?

Legitimate wondering if my humidifer is working (attached to the furnace)....I hear water running (from the copper wire which feeds the qualify into the unit)...but how do I know whether it is working or not? the filter is clean and all the hoses are

from your transient description, I would say that it is working. If the air is not too dry, if there is not much static electricity when you walk across a carpet, and if you feel a little more comfortable, the entity is working. If you are really concerned,

To support, turn the valve off to the water supply. Check the water level in an hour or two. If water is down, system is picking up and evaporating freely into the room. Make sure you turn the water back on after this test!

You have a "skirt humidifier" What that requires is a basin of water for that circular drum unit with the soak media on it to get wet. Then the air is bypassed from the hot side of the furnace back thru the humidifier and it then picks

Got a new furnace and humidifier over the summer and unbiased noticed my installer did not install a humidistat. I just have 2 yellow wires dangling from the valve that the cloth water supply line is connected to. Anyone know how hard it is to install
