What is the red rubber ball hanging down from my Ironing Board?
Oct 06, 2006 by ExV | Posted in Cleaning & Laundry
I keep substance to find out the answer but no-one seems to know. this is a rubber ball, about the size of a squash ball, hanging down from underneath the ironing board on a petty chain. there's a hole in it, which tapers inwards.
I wondered
It is designed to clout the ironing board up when not in use.
The hole, is to be used to place in a hook, or nail or screw or something. They don't last long, so usually the ball ends up being a stopple.

its most indubitably to adjust the height your board, if you pull it it will raise the board...give a tug and see

I don't have a indication and am so curious. Is it a new ironing board. Is it a pull to open or close the board? Is it a place to hang your empty hangers so they are ready for the freshly ironed clothes. Now you have me on a "gem hunt"........I

As I seem to call back, my mother had one on her ironing board ..... the ball was to place on the end of the iron when ironing delicate items (underwear, curtaining etc ...) it stops the concerning of the iron piercing the materials.

I reflect on you stick it on the pointed end of the iron to stop it catching delicate fabrics (including you!).

Bruised swollen big toe after an ironing board fell on it...?
Mar 05, 2008 by Kaoru | Posted in Injuries
Yes.. last round-the-clock there was a small ironing board hanging on the door and when I opened it, it fell directly onto the joint of my big toe (I wasn't wearing any shoes) and damaged(s) a LOT. I elevated and iced it for twenty minutes right after.
Excrescence, discoloration and burning is a big sign that it may be fractured/broken! Check out this site for more symptoms http://orthoinfo.aaos.org/issue.cfm?topi c=A00165
If it does not go down for a day or two...you should go see a
