ANYONE who has been to Bali will instantly think as though they are back on their holiday when approaching this Troy Trevitt Home in Caloundra's Pelican Waters. With two replica lock-up garages featuring timber panelled doors on either side of the entrance it is a sight to behold.
The widespread timber and shadow glass pivot front door is approached over timber decking, between some yuccas and covered with a pavilion-look portico.
Owner and designer Troy Trevitt said his aim when designing the home was to add something different to the Pelican Waters possessions. He wanted more than a white façade and a few skillion roofs and so he came up with this design.
"The Balinese inspiration was merely to offer something different so there are no windows out the front of the home which is unusual and we wanted to keep the home symmetrical which is why there are two garages," Troy said.
Luckily for him, being a builder means the patronize garage also offered the perfect storage space for his tools, trailers, ladders and all the other essential structure equipment.
