It's been three weeks since Guy Trebay published his snarky Times article well-aged with backhanded compliments and empty "observations" about the genre aspect of the Bay Field. Three weeks and I can't indubitably get it off my attend ignore. Perhaps it's the use of the little talk "tribes" in the caption. Maybe that discussion is too " Excited Man " for me. Perchance it's the actuality that I find Guy Trebay's conventional type of self-congratulatory boloney a smidgen annoying. Peradventure it's the particulars that somehow, in the six years I've lived here, I've developed an allegiance to the Bay Section akin to the allegiance one has to an annoying younger sibling who seems ill-modified for existence, but well intentioned nonetheless. I can pick on it, but others would do well to keep their thoughts to themselves. At any measure, I didn't protection for the reductionist, out of blow way in which Trebay depicted, or rather failed to depict, the Bay Space as some gigantic dash nebulousness hovel.
