I wanted to buy a bissell stalk mop, they seem to clean floors very well. Can they be used on laminate floors?

I bought this undersized bissell at a garage sale. I'm gonna try it today. Do I fill the purple container on the back with water? Of course, I didn't get directions with it?
Drat! It's missing a sparse cap at the bottom of the fill tank. I

My friend got the H2O steam mop & LOVES it! Hope your Bissel is equally as great!
I assume that you would fill that container if no other thiny is noticeably at to put water in....&
