I have an old Electrolux steam cleaner for ironmongery floors. I LOVE it. It gets up everything. From stickers from the kids to cat throw up to stuck on jelly. It is fast and casually to use.

need a combination wood floor carpet steam cleaner?

I miss a combination hardwood floor and carpet steam cleaner/scrubber. Does any one have a good recommendation for this? I have 2 cats and I don't want to buy 2 distinct units. I would like something that deep cleans carpets and can be used on hardwood
Where can I find a vacuum that is very effective in cleaning hardwood floors so I wont have to use a dust mop?

I have looked online but some have such bad reviews with the addition of I dont want to spend $100 on a vac and it suck (well, not suck)
I have hardwood floors and I have an straight up vacuum -- the kind you use on carpet. I don't try to vacuum the floor like you would a carpet though -- instead I use the bond hose thing-a-ma-jig and suck up all that dust and other schmootz. Maybe not
