can you wear a mop cap to a ren fair and be considered period?

im lookign in to making a hat for an upcomming ren proper and i cant seem to find information on wether a mop cap is considered an approiate style of cap for the tudor/stuart era. any help is appreciated.

if you're talking about the ilk of hat i'm picturing, then it's more late 18th century/georgian in style than it is tudor/stuart. try looking at the hats on renstore.com (affiliation below) and/or tudorshoppe.com (also, link below) for more period-style

Discriminating try, but that hat is more colonial, i.e. the time of George Washington. You can also see the maids wearing these kinds of hats in Mary Poppins.

did the evacuees still were mop caps?

my daughter has a illusory dress day at school tomorrow. she is going dressed as an evacuee but i can't get hold of an old school hat or anything similar and i'm wondering if we could get away with a mop cap. or will she well-grounded look silly?

I don't characterize as a mop cap would be right, perhaps a kerchief scarf or a beret would be better...

No joking..I was watching Sa Ra Ga Ma Pa..and this dude has like a helmet mop head of hair! How did my man fit all of that hair into his red trademark cap back in the day? What did he have...like an XXXXXXXXL hat evaluate or something?
