The upside of swiffers is that they are expedient for quick touch-ups. The downside is that the refills get expensive. I also find that there is not enough moisture in the pads to do more than a small area before they dry out...which is why they are

I have a swiffer mop BUT I don't buy the resolution or the pads for it. I actually use dish clothes and then I have a spray bottle that I use with the floor cleaner of my choice in it. That way I can use what I neediness and not spend a lot of money.
