Five Things: Pine Street Inn Knit-a-thon Raises $30000
Today is Tuesday, November 15. Here are five things you demand to know today.
1. Mostly cloudy today with highs in the mid 60s. West winds 10 to 15 mph.
2. The Pine Boulevard Inn 's Fifth Annual Knit-a-thon took place earlier this month at the State Accommodate on Beacon Hill. The event raised close to $30,000 and enough squares were knit to complete 116 blankets, which will be foreordained as housewarming gifts to homeless men and women moving into housing. The event, sponsored by Michaels Stores , was founded by Pine Terrace volunteer Farley Sullivan after she befriended a homeless man, Arthur, who she saw each day on her way to work. Today, Arthur has a unalterable home in a Pine Street residence.
3. The Frog Pond opens for skating this week with an separation celebration Nov. 18 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. that will include performances by professional and gold-medal skaters, as well as an show by Frog Pond Freddie and activities for the entire family. The rink will be open until March. For more word, call (617) 635-2120 or visit click here.

And I be familiar with the perfect house-warming gift for her: a massive Do Not Disturb sign to stop any more unwelcome interruptions from the immeasurable stream of visitors who keep dropping in on the pair of them.
