Can you disconnect the door lock on a Cabrio washer?
Nov 18, 2010 by g g | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
My washer works penalty, but is not registering that the door lock in engage and therefore will not start. Is there any way to disconnect the door lock so that I can use the washer? It is a Whirlpool Cabrio washer.
The door latch is a shelter device. It should not be by-passed. Serious injury could result from using the machine without a door latch.
The door latch should be replaced. This is not an gentle job, but it is not too difficult either.
