Inmate arraigned on Rochester theft charges

ROCHESTER — A state man serving time in jail on habitual offender charges was arraigned earlier this month on pilferage charges for allegedly removing plumbing equipment from a basement of an apartment building in July 2010.

Cory Davidson, 33, currently an lag at the Strafford County House of Corrections, was indicted last month on a charge of theft by unauthorized charming, and was arraigned at the Strafford County Superior Court Nov. 3.

The grand jury indictment on Oct. 20 alleges Davidson committed pilfering on July 12, 2010, when he took a hot water heater, pipes, and other plumbing equipment from an apartment building in East Rochester. The value of the claimed property totaled more than $1,000.

According to Rochester Police Lt. Paul Callaghan, copper piping, a gas stove, and an expansion tank were among the items Davidson took on July 12, 2010, from a basement of an apartment erection on 28 Main St. in East Rochester.
