I am intelligent about getting a steam cleaner as the house we've just moved into has mostly floating timber floors and tiles with carpet to the living range and bedrooms.
A friend commented that a steam cleaner would be great instead of

I have a Hoover that I purchased from Aim under $350 I have two cat, I clean my carpets twice a year spring and fall I think it is well worth it. But to be perfectly upright I have not tried this on hardwood floors, in that regard I think it would be

i have upright borrowed a friends steam mop cleaner but it doesn't seem to be cleaning very well. Has anyone else tried these and did they find this too. I was wondering if it would be worth just hiring a cleaning cleaner? what do you find best? Advise
