I lodge in a two-story house. Whenever someone uses the upstairs shower, the water leaks into the kitchen light accessory. The problem - the downstairs bathroom only has a toilet and face bowl. When I say leak, the water almost fills a 32-gallon trash

The sap or trap in the shower may be loose or broken. If you have an access panel on the opposite side of the wall from the shower controls you may be competent to get in and tighten up the drain trap. Otherwise you will have to cut open the wall or ceiling

With the brand of your plumbing problem, it sounds like your shower drain may either cracked or broken. I have come across sprinkle strainers ( the part that secures to the bottom of the shower floor) and it has loosened up allowing water to leak
