Michele Bachmann Signs Anti-Gay Pledge That Claims Homosexuality Is A Choice
Bachmann is half-power. Homosexual behavior, like heterosexual behavior, requires the person to make a choice to physically reserve in that behavior. However, it is a choice derived from an innate orientation. Thus, the orientation is innate and automatic, the behavior is a choice.
On the whole, I don't see why heterosexuallky oriented people should be allowed to turn out to be choices that we can't.
Keep in mind, also, that there are choices that can be positive and choices that can be negative. A positive choice affirms you as a myself. Thus, a homosexually oriented person will get a tremendous amount of joy and affirmation from engaging in behavior that reflects his orientation. However, if that homosexually oriented woman engages in promiscuous behavior (ie many sex partners), the behavior veers to the self-destructive.
