Police suspect homicide in disappearance of missing Pembroke Pines Realtor

After discovery suspicious items in a trash bin, authorities are now calling the disappearance of a Pembroke Pines Realtor a likely homicide.

Pembroke Pines Supervise are also asking anyone who might have seen Natalie Belmonte’s car — a maroon 2007 Lexus ES — around awakening Sunday near the Publix at 194th Avenue and Sheridan Street or 196th Avenue.

Belmonte, 43, had attended a cocktail the night before, along with her adopted son Gerard Belmonte. He said they came home around 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

When he woke up later that day, his mom was gone. He reported her disappearance to Pembroke Pines Police about 7 p.m. When they arrived, Natalie Belmonte’s apartment phone, purse and maroon sedan were still at the house, and there were no signs of forced entry.

Authorities have deployed helicopters, dogs, boats and varied to scour the streets and canals around Belmonte’s home at 19331 NW Fifth Street. They also sealed off the quarter itself to hunt for clues inside.
