Dog got into trash can?
Feb 12, 2008 by hmm, i need a new name | Posted in Dogs
She's a 4 month old jack russell mix, 5.5 lbs. I don't differentiate how she did it, but I left her alone for the first time and came back to a kitchen covered in trash. I know she licked the container of chocolate icecream but have no indicator hint
You can be anxious if you know if anything like chocolate you had eaten that day you threw away the wrapper or something. My dog always did this and we would get soo mad at him because he is a dog now: but yet he is still changing. Get a hard lid to put

I'd keep a close off eye on her for the next several hours. If she seems lethargic or if she starts heaving, I'd take her to the clinic.
As for the trash can, you can get a taller one with a lid.
klizz86 | Feb 12, 2008
I would introduce that you keep an eye on your dog for a while, just to be sure that she doesn't get sick from the chocolate.
Here's a link about why dogs can't have chocolate and what the symptoms are.

First, to block dogs going into garbages, get a dog-proof garbage (a garbage can that locks when u want it to.) Second, don't perturbation about it, dogs do it all the time and rarely get sick. Only a substantial amount of chocolate can really harm them,
MySpAcE-MyAnTiDrUg | Feb 12, 2008
You'll homelessness to get a trash can with a lid on it, dogs are known for getting into garbage cans, possibly consider getting her toys and treats , the defence dogs get into trash cans is for lack of attention, take her on a walk every night 20 minutes at

I don't suppose you have anything to worry about- just wait and see. Get a full size plastic garbage can with a lid to put on it.
dms47949 | Feb 12, 2008
if it has been longer than a day then she should be satisfying. i think its more harmfull if its a regular thing. if something was wrong you would notice a change in her behavior. if your really solicitous call a local animal hospital.

Get a mat that makes nose and put it in front of the trash can that way when the dog steps on it the rumpus will make her leave.
Shiggles | Feb 12, 2008

Can't you put the trash can in the closed bathroom when you go out? I'd keep an eye on her stools, condign in case, most likely she'll just poop out anything she ate. Some things such as tinfoil, can be harmful though.

If you start to see any node, then you should give her some over the counter children's liquid Benedryl for about three days 3 times a day... but it should make it go away petulant. But if there isn't any allergic signs or signs of sickness, then shes

Answering question of My dog has an eating disorder?
Dec 30, 2009 by Raven | Posted in Dogs
She eats everything she can get her dwarf mouth on. But she doesn't eat everything all the time just sometimes.
But she will go 3 days with out eating anything, is why my vet told me to leave the food out. she is put on a aliment of only 2 cups.
Dogs don't get people illnesses.
Too many treats and the dog won't eat dog provisions.
Cat food is very bad for dogs - too much protein.
You are contributing to this problem.
Feed the dog food

The Cat in the Trash
People might have seen the item about the piece in Coventry, England who threw her neighbor's four year old cat into a trash bin as a "pun." Righteous after responding to the consequent after clamour with "It's due a cat," the woman has since "apologized profusely" for her "become void in judgment."
Talk reports have quoted the frail as saying the option to town the cat within the trash bin was a pressure of the instant selection and she compassion the cat would be in a importance to get out. The cat's owners had been looking and vocation for it when they heard the meows and followed them towards the trash bin where they rescued the cat after fifteen hours of its incarceration. The owners had a video safe keeping system that caught the actions of their neighbor who was identified front after the strap was placed on YouTube and Facebook.
It seems that individuals either like cats or they do not. Far from canines, cats have an liberty that some people equitable do not want to negotiation with. Now granted, a cat with a full set of claws can do some abuse to carpeting and the priesthood covered effects, but then canines can do some decent total of hurt to paraphernalia with chewing on everything in espy.
Fortunately, most cats and canines aren't in a disposal to pure a huge practise of injure to things like garage doors. Most garage doors are leaden metal, which is too bloody-minded for the dog or the cat to in toto injury. There are older garage doors of advance that may have gaps that permit a cat to stool-pigeon in and out. The garage and garage doors of these days in some areas have replaced the barn and barn door of yesterday, a unearthing for open-air cats to hide and perhaps have their litters.
Yet individuals will still reproach the cats and canines comparable to how this lady did, without thought of the consequences towards the mammal or themselves. She is cooperating with the RSPCA and also the city observe and so it seems is entrancing culpability for her actions. Regrettably, you will find also cat...
