Volunteers Place Litter Warning Markers in 5 Points

Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- We aggressiveness past them, over them, and barely notice the drains in our communities, but volunteers want you to be more aware of drains and recognize they're not trash cans.

Seventeen-year-old Virginia Lesslie says she wants to do her part. She and other volunteer tracked up and down the sidewalks of Columbia's Five Points Monday lacing markers to put in mind of people that drains aren't dumps.

"When you have a colorful marker it draws your attention and it raises more awareness, said Lesslie.  "So you might suppose twice about dumping something down a drain."

Victoria Kramer, Stormwater Environmental Specialist for the City of Columbia says tone down from these drains doesn't head to a treatment facility, instead it goes straight into our rivers and creeks, harming fish and plants.

"It can in to algae blooms which are really bad for fish and can eventually kill fish," said Kramer.

A glitter inside one Five Points drain showed cigarette butts, plastic bottles, wrappers and other trash. Things that could all end up in the effervescent water you swim, fish and play in and along the Broad, Saluda, and Congaree Rivers.

How do you get rid of baby items that are ruined (can't donate) but are too large to fit into a trash bag?

My son had a expeditions system (stroller and infant car seat combo) which are ruined beyond repair so I can't donate them to the local charity snitch on like I usually do with his outgrown things, however they are too large to fit into a trash bag so

Take them to your regional recycling centre, or phone your local council and request they come and collect the items for you.

If you well-founded leave them outside with the normal trash, they will take the normal stuff, but leave the stroller, as

don't you have a village 'garbage dump/ garbage tip / refuse station / waste and recycling centre / refuse and recycling cluster ' (could be called any number of things so try googling these names with the name of your local area)

If your son's clothes are in clever condition you can sale them on kijiji(website where people sale everyting used and for low price in your square)I dont know if US has kijiji ,but you can look up.
If not,maybe you can make yard sale? Just put big

If i go yo my recycle bin and go to tools then folder options, and then vista and then reset all folders will this make my files come back?

What is trailer trash, and how is it different from apartment trash?

Why is trailer trash such a big grapple with? I live in the city, and people in apartments dump their trash in dumpsters, and the garbage man comes once a week to pick it up.
Why are people so anxious about trailer trash running amok? Why can't

Woman who put cat in trash can charged | World | News | London ...

A British missus who dropped a cat into a filth bin has been charged with two counts of bestial cruelty.

A reconnaissance camera captured Mary Bale petting Lola the cat before dumping it in a litter bin on Aug. 22. The cat was trapped for 15 hours.

Lola's owners, Stephanie and Darryl Andrews-Mann, found her after they heard cries coming from the bin. Lola wasn't injured, but Bale, who is from Coventry, straightaway became the object of infuriated physical lovers. She initially said she didn't conscious why people were making a big negotiation out of it, and that she had expected the cat to "shaking out of the bin." She apologized on Aug. 25 for putting the four-year-old cat in the muck.

"I cannot resolve why I did this," she said. "It was a split patronize of misjudgment that has got wholly out of supervision."

Bale will occur in court Oct. 19, the August Brotherhood for the Obstructing of Cruelty to Animals said.

"We have charmed the cover to court as two purported offences have been committed; of causing unwanted tribulation to a cat and of not providing the monster with a becoming ecosystem," the RSPCA said in a delivering.

A split defective of misjudgment for 15 hours? What an idiot. This persons balance needs to be tested, and she should never be allowed to own animals. Dialect mayhap we should close her in a lock-up for 15 hours. After her strengthen in there, talk her we simulated she could take out how to get out, and locking her in there was a split back of misjudgement.
