When it comes to serious cleaning Alta Landis knows just what appliance to pick up: her steam cleaner.

"It gets the indecency out" said the Providence Township woman who has owned steam cleaners for years. "It thoroughly cleans carpets and I like that it doesn't get the carpet very wet yet it cleans in point of fact well."

She uses steam cleaners in her home and she recently purchased an additional steam cleaner to use for cleaning carpets in rental properties she owns. She also likes using a compact Bissell steam cleaner on stairs and upholstery.

"Steam cleaners are great" she said. "They do a nice job."

Her test is not unique. Thanks to convenience affordability and a wide range of applications the steam cleaning vend is gaining steam.

"Steam cleaner sales are on the rise" said Debra Mednick who handles peddle intelligence for durable goods through The NPD Group a consumer market research firm. "Sales have been growing over the quondam two or three years."

How do you use a Bissell Power Steamer?

I got it at a garage on offer a while and it didn't come with any directions. I'd like to use it to steam a couch.

The only way you can steam a love-seat is if it has the upholstery attachment.

Bissell Power Steamer-Need Instructions?

I have desperate my instructions for my Bissell Power Steamer #631. I have pulled up instructions for other things on the internet but have been unable to for this. Am I doing it wrong or do I have to proceed paying Bissell? Any help will be appreciated.

I went to Bissell.com. Put in Steamer Cleaner #631, then I went to alcohol guide and you click on the correct guide and there it is for you. Why would you pay Bissell when the information is there for free. It took me a couple of times to get to drug
