How to repair Bissell Quick Streamer model 1970 sprayer?

The sprayer on my Bissell Bright Streamer model 1970 just stopped working. Can someone tell me how I can repair it myself?
Is it leaking anywhere? Does it disseminate out of the floor/bottom of the unit? If it sprays at bottom but not on top you probably need to replace the hose and hand unit. If no span at all you may need to replace the pump. but befor doing that, take

any thoughts on how to purified and repair it?
it doesn't seem to pickup things as much as it used to. i've used it for
untwist a wire hanger unscrew where the hose goes and carefully plunk ther hanger in all the hose placement areas and shake it around. most likely its clogged
