Has anyone used a hand-held carpet shampooer for cat stains? Do they work?

I was looking at perhaps a Bissell Spot Lifter but I'd like to know if they help reduce cat urine smell.

I found it much easier to use a scrub groom with the recommended revelation on the spot first. After the finding out sets for a few minutes, I go back over it with the SpotLifter and wipe any access solvent and the finest. For larger and more obstructive stains I would vouch for using the figuring out/elbow grease and then go over it using the full power of your wet/dry vac. Works like a magnetism.
