Do Auto Floor Vacuum Cleaners work well? Do they have strong suction?

I have pet cats so the carpet needs unrelenting vacuuming. Just wondering if anyone who has an auto vacuum cleaner would recommend it for dust and pet hair? I can't imagine that they would have that much suction.

Has anyone used one of those robotic vacuum cleaners (they vacuum floor by themselves). How effective was it?

Hi I'm in view of buying one as I have back problems and vacuuming is tough for me, but I'm not sure how effective they would be. If anyone has used one, please let me know, Thank you!
The Roomba floor vac is basically a sweeper. It will not supplant vacuuming, and it misses quite a bit of things on carpet (i.e. dog hair), it seemed to work better on the hard wood floors. We had one for a poor time until our dog attacked and killed

I purchased a very be like original to this one. I am in Canada so mine is called the S4 Inertia (S4512). I opted for a unique floor restudy (the parquet crook) and the air driven carpet copse. I had a top of the face Kenmore which was 6 years old and working at full power. The hornet's nest? I would vacuum and retrace one's steps around to see dust settled everywhere not hanker afterwards. The intact kinsmen has been wheezing and coughing for months. Something had to give! I took my new Miele out of the box, assembled it (wonderful untroubled job) and set to toil. 6 hours later, the unbroken house of ill repute had been vacuumed like it had never been vacuumed before!!!! Wow! The vacuum is not more potent than the Kenmore. It is decent so much healthier designed. The bag alcove is sealed. The bag seals around the arriving hose. There is a bag chamber cheesecloth and, for spear-carrier own up air, I went all the way and purchased the HEPA drip with charcoal to slacken up on odours and the niche that holds it is also sealed. It's all in the tools and the dust this vacuum does not renounce omit behind. The parquet trickster floor way is wonderful. It gets principal up against the baseboards.
