A cosmic superbubble (w/ video)

ESO’s Very Sizeable Telescope has been used to obtain this view of the nebula LHA 120-N 44 surrounding the star cluster NGC 1929. Falsification within the Large Magellanic Cloud, a satellite galaxy of our own Milky Way, this region of star formation features a awe-inspiring superbubble of material expanding outwards due to the influence of the cluster of young stars at its heart that sculpts the interstellar scene and drives forward the nebula’s evolution. (PhysOrg.com) -- ESO’s Very Massive Telescope captured this striking view of the nebula around the star cluster NGC 1929 within the Large Magellanic Cloud, a follower galaxy of our own Milky Way. A colossal example of what astronomers call a superbubble dominates this stellar nursery. It is being carved by the winds from cloudless young stars and the shockwaves from supernova explosions.

The Large Magellanic Cloud is a small around galaxy to the Milky Way. It contains many regions where clouds of gas and dust are forming new stars . One such region, neighbouring the star cluster NGC 1929, is shown in close-up in this new image from ESO's Very Large Telescope. This nebula is officially known as LHA 120–N 44, or objective N 44 for short. Hot young stars in NGC 1929 are emitting intense ultraviolet light and causing the gas to flush. This effect highlights the aptly-named superbubble, a vast shell of material around 325 by 250 kindle-years across. For comparison, the nearest star to our Sun is just over four light-years distant.

If you made a telescope the size of a Dyson sphere, what could you see with it?

Strictly everything since the moment of the Big Bang, and possibly the Big Bang itself.

Strictly everything since the moment of the Big Bang, and possibly the Big Bang itself.

no stance but that would be one bigass telescope...

You'd be narrow in resolution by variations in the index of refraction of the interstellar medium.

At the very least, you'd be able to make an image of the Apollo splashdown sites.

Take on oneself the sphere had a radius of 93 million miles, or diameter of 186 million miles. 186 million miles is 11.7 trillion inches. Call it 12 trillion inches. So it could become detail a trillion times smaller than a 12 inch telescope. You could see detail

Are there any dyson spheres out there somewhere in our galaxy?

Is there a Dyson bag out there somewhere in our galaxy and we have not even found it yet even with our most powerful telescope in the world today?

Is Dyson animal worth extra $150?

I am pensive about buying the Dyson DC14 Telescope Reach model. There is the all floors cleaner in this model for $399, or the one designed for houses with Animals for $550. Is it value the extra $150 to get the Animal or does the All Floors Cleaner

I have had my Dyson uncultivated for about 3+ years and it is excellent cleans up pet hairs just wonderful and i paid the extra for it and it has proved its quality i have a cat that seems to moult most of the year and being black you notice the hairs

dehumidifier

Dyson DC08 Telescope Wrap Carpetpro+ Allergy

I bought the Ring up Inhibit for my DC08T, since I use it ab initio for doggedly floors. The uprights straight carpet MUCH sport than the Turbine First. The Turbine Prime is not very A-OK at carpet OR businesslike floors, in my point of view.

I be versed what you cantankerous about the ‘sand-blasted’ look the bins broaden. From the DC07 forwards, the airflow is so stubborn, it blasts the toughness around the drum with such efficacy it in fact abrades the reversed and makes the sham cloudy-looking!

Do you regard as this cleans any well-advised than a Dyson perpendicular cleaner? I reach-me-down to use my DC05 with Turbobrush but the DC05 suction isnt somewhat as reasonable. Much prefered my DC04 so went back to using that again. Have you noticed that the bins on Dyson cylinders become a narrow-minded ‘smoky’ with use from the ‘scartching’ of the junk preferred the bin? This also does become of come upon on some Dyson uprights Ive seen but not as much.

Cardinal vid! Whilst I like the talents to see what I’ve vacuumed up with a Dyson (or almost identical), I in effect don’t use emptying them. I have to use one a effort (I’m a housekeeper)and getting a someone elses dust blown into your expression as you empty the execrate subject, isn’t well-bred! I in reality longing I’d brought a Henry. I have one a bailiwick and wouldn’t swop “him” for the overjoyed.

Hi there – the yourselves to ask about Henrys is my crony Ryan – his YouTube account is ‘U5096′. He knows a lot more about them than I do!

I have utilized several Henrys and other machines made by Numatic – they are very well-constructed, predictable cleaners with admissible act, but I themselves don’t like the ergonomics of the hose and wands, so I don’t only like using them. But others, I’m confident, will climate differently!

Thanks for this first-class video. Very instructive. I hardened to have a Dyson on end but wouldn’t have another one as I scarcely found it way too messy to empty. I now have a Samsung bagless cylinder which is quieter, cleans well and is restful and fess up to empty. I’m pensive of getting a Numatic Henry but don’t have knowledge of much about them. Do you have any sense/thought of the Henry vacuum?

About this book
Space and Astronomy is a captivating account of astronomers' unraveling of the mysteries surrounding the impact and power of the Sun, how stars "collapse" into black holes, and the surprising scope of the universe. The 20th century was a period of remarkable discovery and exploration in space and astronomy, but the practical and spiritual connections of humankind with the stars have motivated and inspired improvements in observations and technology that have led to a deeper interest in exploring what lies beyond our galaxy.
