A: There is - but it's for residents of Cumberland County. Sorry.

County residents can get their old papers shredded lavish at the landfill on Ann Street. County recycling coordinator Janice Daniel arranges for such papers to be entranced to a spot in the landfill where they can be squished and shredded into nasty oblivion by the spiked cleats of the 55-ton scraps compactor. Eww - and excellent!

You can, of course, buy your own shredder. Consumer Reports armoury says crosscut shredders are better than strip shredders because its shreds can't be reassembled so easily.

Vinager is the Eco-Thick (doesn't mess up the environment) choice. Bleach will work too. Be sure to use the largest load habitat and cold water if you are using vinager and hot water if you are using bleach. About 4 cups of vinager or one cup of whiten
