How to clean washing machine / dryer after using it for bathroom mats & other filthy stuff?

Say I use my washing machine and dryer to wake the bathroom mat, which is filthy - how do I make sure the machine and dryer are 'clean' enough for my next batch of laundry, such as my undergear, handkerchief, phiz towels etc?
I Commonly RUN AN EMPTY LOAD WITH BLEACH IN THE WASHER. IN THE DRYER I WOULD TAKE A DAMP CLOTH AND WIPE IT OUT, CLEAN OUT THE LINT COLLECTOR ALSO. OW YEAH BY THE WAY, FIRST I WOULD TAKE THE MATS Front AND GET AS MUCH DEBRIS OFF OF THE THEM. HAVE FUN,

I dredge away the noticeable bits out with a used dryer sheet (or a few of them). Then I make sure the next load is towels. The official key to this problem, is get more bathroom mats and wash them more often.

I'd like to identify this too! I've heard that one way is to run a cycle in the washer afterward with bleach and one old towel, then toss the old towel in the dryer to clean that. Not assured how well that works tho, am interested in seeing what other answers

Everytime I lave a load of dark clothes, it seems to come out full of lint. Is there anything that I can do to clean my machine. I don't have a lint filter in my washer.

We have recently noticed a bad sniff coming from the inside of our washing machine - it looks clean, so I assume it must be from dirt which is stuck in the pipes.The drains are not blocked though as the unreservedly urinate still goes down the drain.
Run a burly load of hot water with one gallon of bleach (no clothes of course). This will clean out any bacteria/mold that might be allowance. Going forward make sure you always keep the door open on your washer when not in use, as it's a great breeding
