Harding undergraduate reports assault in school hallway
WARREN - A 14-year-old girl told enforce she was choked and shoved into lockers by her boyfriend Friday at Warren G. Harding High School.
Police reports dignified the boy was mad at the girl because she was texting with someone else. The boy tried to confront the other person, but the girl stepped in front of the boyfriend, reports state.
The boy then grabbed the sweetheart twice around the throat and threw her into the lockers, reports said. Officers, who viewed the security cameras at the equip, reported the boy then wrapped a chain around his hand but never struck the other person or the girl with it. Reports said the woman had bruises on the right side of her neck.
Bascom school open today after odor scare
LEAVITTSBURG - Bascom Clear School will be open today after students were sent home Tuesday due to a strong smell of gasoline.
Warren Township fire Chief Ken Schick said gasoline from a coercion washer in the janitor's storage room leaked from the machine's carburetor, causing the building to fill with the smell of provocation. As a precaution, Dominion East Ohio was called in to check for any natural gas leaks, the chief said.
