Stay tuned for more details and become enlightened, as the old television show said, ‘This Is Your Life’. On Saturday past I went to the 100th Anniversary of the Boyes Hot Springs Function Office. The community spirit emanating from that part of unincorporated Sonoma Valley has become a powerful force. Interchange is so very apparent with the new sidewalks, new businesses, the mural in the Sonoma Valley Grange, the taking on of community directorship and so much more. You know what’s so cool these days is that music and art are a integrated part of every event. To kick off the celebration a new group called the Hot Flashes sang a ravishing series of postal related songs. They were done in a very sweet harmony, with humor and yet a seriousness of performing them well. Six ladies took the conditions from their lives to work on presenting the songs, having a great deal of fun and sharing them with those gathered there. I exactly loved it. Speeches followed, gratefully short and to the point. The lobby of the Post Office had a photo vaunt of the historical past and blueprints for the future. The folks of the Springs are not done, not remotely. They have realized that they are a major profitable power in Sonoma Valley. The Springs community is a melting pot of American life and each of the cultures report a flavor and richness to life there. Maybe one day they will come together politically and become incorporated. Has anyone bought a Meile, Bosch or Asko front stuff washing machine lately and if so what are your comments on these brands,where are they manufactured? Do they wash better than top loaders and where can I look for the best price? I hunger for a 6.5
