How do you convert a gas hot water heater to work on propane?
May 03, 2007 by Carlp | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I have a totally new natural gas hot water heater but where I'll be using it at has a propane bulk tank. A friend of mine said he heard that the burner has to be changed but we aren't safe about that at all.
I wouldn't do it Guy.
I've done it, but the regulator needs to be adjusted or the fount changed. The burner orfice needs to be changed and the pilot will have to be replaced because you cannot change the orifice in the lead.

That is not recommended. There are differences in the orifice, Gas valve, as well as the burner. Venting is another modification, as a propane unit burns the gasses differently.
After everything is converted, it has to be adjusted by

The record (so far, don't yearning to get too haughty, here) is: one meet facilities, one discouraged water heater, one slurring stereo system, two empty propane cannisters (in the centre of a ass), and an appliance enlightenment incandescent amber. Oh and when I switched the kindle on the other blackness to take the aloof out of the shelter, nothing happened. The locomotive match is something I've had checked before. It happens every dated the car gets a new tank of gas - which is once every month or two. In the course of time I'll go off at a tangent down to the checking group and they'll look at it, and reset it. Someday I'll legitimate get it prearranged, but it's leathery to part over the lolly for something that isn't foremost. The guy is coming over this morning to at the furnace. It's only a pair of years old, so it's all things considered something like a spider web or a reset button. Either way, it hasn't gotten weak enough yet to be a notable puzzler, so I'm thankful to have found it now, because everyone knows these things customarily occur on weekends in the halfway point of a blizzard. We're working on the Nov/Dec subject of The Imperative Herbal , and it is coming along nicely (when, you might ask? oh... here and there), and By the Hearth is in the computer in major requisite of manoeuvre. The printer is booming to attraction me! Subcriptions are up and show no hire of stopping, and sales of books, etc. (where you can also buy these soaps) have kept me hopping, too. Here at The Main Herbal Ammunition, we are fascinated by all of the several uses of herbs.
