How long should the hot water last with a 30 gallong water heater?

We keep management out of hot water... even this morning... I ran out after only being in the shower about 15 minutes, and I was the first in the family to shower... shouldn't it last longer than that?
So... how long should the hot water
30 gal is stinting and good for about 15 mins like u said ...

1 sprinkle is all you get. raise the temp., but even then it would be 2 showers.

A thirty gallon water heater is tolerably small. But is should not run out during a 15 minute shower. There are 3 likely causes your shower was longer than you think , the thermostat is off the target or you have a leak.

your drizzle consumes 2.5 gal per minute. so 15 minutes would be about right. Get a larger tank or a tankless heater.

Call to mind a consider about time verses gallons. Most showerheads give 2-1/2 gallons per minute. At 15 minutes this would be 37-1/2 gallons. While you are using hot water, the water heater is refilling with raw water. This lowers the original temperature of the water.

The water heater may poverty to be drained. In a perfect world, it would be done at least once a year. Sediment builds up in the bottom of the tank, and that needs to be gotten rid of. I could go on but since I put in a coupling, I will let you read all about

a 30 gallon water heater set at 125 degrees. Yours is working holy. You can max out the temp setting on the heater which will give you more hot water because you won't have to use as much to shower, but it also increases the risk of being scalded.

Now I don't give a shittake about pass, or inefficient compared to new, or it is an out of date color(or whatever bull crap sales pitch) It was new when I bought it and it does the job.

Wow, I can’t consider what that could sell for now to settle copper 3" drainage.
You may have to renew it and keep it flourishing, but that’s what I’d do.
I fix impressionable and throw away iron drainage all the mores, so it’s not like you’re guaranteed a sentience of difficult extricate plumbing if you get rid of it and substitute for it.
I’ve done some travail usefulness being proud of, but I’ve never installed copper drainage.
