BESSEMER, Alabama --- Chuck and Lea Blackwell radical the Greater Birmingham Association of Homebuilders Expo on Tuesday with bags full of business cards, poorhouse construction plans and product brochures that they'll study as they embark upon rebuilding from the April 27 tornado that destroyed their living quarters. 

After moving past the immediate priorities of salvage work, debris clearance and bond settlement, many tornado survivors are now working on rebuilding -- with the daunting array of choices that brings. 

"This was wonderful," Lea said of the exhibition at the Bessemer Civic Center. "Because this is not something we expected to do." 

The expo, with more than 90 booths manned by contractors, senate and countertop installers, plumbers and roofers, was a chance for storm survivors to make contact with regional, licensed builders and to get up to speed on the newest offerings in homebuilding -- from tankless water heaters to LED lighting. 

And it was a predictability for builders and vendors, who've been struggling through a dismal home construction market, to connect with potential customers.

Our water heater was over 12 years old and it's kaput (leaking from corrosion).

I'd like to supersede it with an electric tankless hot water heater... can anyone give me a guesstimate as to how much it should cost us for the unit and

depends on the required water management of the house. Do not know check your water bill. Have a well? How many baths? How may are full? Do you have a double shower or garden tub? Double sink vacuousness? If you have a high water need like a double shower or garden

Justified as a ball park guess it will be about $800.00 to about $1300.00 depending on the availability of electricity. If you have an electrical panel in the 200 amp compass you might be ok if it is a small house. Usage will be a big factor as the more hot water

i was just checking on the odds of installing a tankless at my house. i don't have gas service so i was restricted to electric. i found that i would have to put new wiring to my panel. it's not the case for me but you may also have to upgrade your panel
