It’s hot and we all be to use our air conditioners to stay cool, but we also need to conserve electricity or there’s going to be outages. That’s one of the messages representatives from the Bandera Energized Cooperative told a meeting of about 30 seniors Tuesday, June 14, at the Lakehills Civic Center. The junction, sponsored by Bandera County TRIAD, brought information about how to conserve electricity and prevent elder misuse.

Kevin Ferrell said with the heat in Texas this summer home thermostat settings and even the to the fullest of a person’s shower is going to be critical to maintaining control over a person’s electric bill.

A person’s placid has an envelope of insulation, ducts, vents, doors and windows that can save energy or waste it. The in force of a person’s heat and air conditioning system and even the water heater can effect how much energy is used.

Some ways to save electricity in the summer is to have soup trees around the house, especially deciduous trees for shade on the west side.

Our publican has refused to work on our water heater, my husband spend over an hour trying to remove the pop-off valve to replace it, and now we are trying to replace the element but it is also cemented in and we can't get it off. Any way to dismiss the

Not to submerge funny but old fashioned elbow grease or a bigger wrench.

Some times they are hard but it will break unrestrained , use a pipe wrench and a cheater bar (a pipe that fits over the wrench handle) When you put the new element in use teflon

Minimize a letter to your landlord. Give him a certain number of days to call a plumber. If he fails, you call the plumber and deduct the set someone back from the rent. That is completely legal in the US. I don't know about your location.

How do you replace the elements on an electric water heater?

My water heater keeps having to be reset. The water heater is under 8 years old so I'm assuming it merely needs new elements. Can someone give me the steps into going about replacing the elements? Thanks!

Mostly when the water heater reset trips it is a thermostat that is malfunctioning and not an element.It should be checked to find the problem first before changing parts that are not malfunctioning.If you have a forthright multi-meter it is easy to check

How much does it bring in to have a repair person come out and replace a single element in a water heater. 2000w 240volt Single element. Thank you in improve.

The element is less inexpensive, it does take some knowledge and pre-cautions to replace. In our area, you will pay $175.00 to $250.00.
