It's $154 for only just one month, for just me! I haven't lived alone before and my family says that's not a bad amount really, but it seems way too high. Pretty much everything runs off of gas which makes it a hardly more difficult. Gas alone is almost

Are you using gas to inflame you house? You might want to keep the heat much, much lower if that is the case. Are you renting? You also might have some sort of leak if it costs that much. try to get the host to check it out so you can save money.

I exist in an apartment. I recently turned off the gas to our living room heater, which is connected to our water heater, because it's so hot out and it seemed to still be radiating some heat even though the thermostat is set way low and turned off.
as Joe said...these problems are distinct...get the landlord to check the stove and water heater...as far as the room heater goes there is built in safety devices that are supposed to turn the gas to heater accumulation off if the pilot light goes out...accidently
